Yes and it shows that the PE 2is just right, if a fighter press home a attack to the end he will get hurt, if he break off and come again he will  be more successful. 

I have no numbers on how many 109 screaming sniper gunner in chat after I shot them down with the defencive guns, but if you are attacking a palne you are no longer a moving target , you become static, and people need to know you do not want to be static in front of a very efficient gun for a long time
