One question regarding certain collector planes

I am sorry if this was asked already, but I have a question. If my Mom purchases certain collector planes (that is, either the Junkers Ju-52/3m or the Yak-1B), would the Steam key that is provided for each of them be optional (which could mean that I can choose to decline the Steam key)? Again, I am sorry for asking such a stupid question, but I wish to know. Thanks.

Why would you want to decline the steam key? Just asking because I'm not sure what you want to do..

I would rather have a regular game key, not a Steam key, if that is what you are saying. Sorry for saying this.

Got it, makes sense. As far as I understand you should be able to just activate the key on il2sturmovik.com and bypass Steam (at least if your mother buys it on the official Il-2 store)

You can also buy the game on steam and just use the normal account and launcher without steam.
