II./JG77_Spaz Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 (edited) S! Fellow Pilots As a lot of you will remember there was a nifty little program from 1946 called IL-2 compare. It showed side by side stats of planes, allowed you to see the curves of each. Has anything like this been created? Has anyone even thought of doing something like this for BoX? Its interesting to look at IL-2 compare now against the aircraft in BoX. For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about I'm attaching a version of IL-2 compare for you to look at. Here is the original link.. http://www.334theaglesquadron.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&op=getit&lid=21 IL-2Compare4.11.zip Edited September 18, 2017 by RavN_c4nucK 1 1
TRRA15 Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Thanks very much for posting that. Had that program on previous PCs and it was very handy for when I flew IL-2 1946 online. Still fly it offline fairly regularly and so it's good to stay informed, plus it's fun to compare various A/C just for fun in "what-if" ways. Sort of like "bench racing".
ShamrockOneFive Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 It's a great tool. Highly recommend it for use with IL-2: 1946. I don't think I've seen anything remotely close for the next gen.
216th_Jordan Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 I thing the problem is that old Il2s data was available in such charts, making them very accessible. In BoX this doesnt work anymore.. I missed it at first but now I appreciate to have to learn the planes' strength instead of looking at some graphs.
