unreasonable Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Anyone know which of the Soviet fighters has the best - and worst - elevator effectiveness?
VesseL Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 I can only guess. Yak1b has the best and lagg3 the worst. il2 and pe2 as a dark horse best elevatorers. Damn i buy one ticket to i16 too. now if the la5 or mig is not the best i win. So how it is?
unreasonable Posted September 19, 2017 Author Posted September 19, 2017 I just needed to find out which would do the largest loop when travelling at speed, having been surprised by how quickly the Mig was able to pull up. I do not know for sure which is worst, but I have found that the La-5 is not too good at tight loops, so I have a candidate. Not really a scientific survey question, just looking for a certain suitable victim...
indiaciki Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Talk about the Spits elevator :D Horriffic.
unreasonable Posted September 19, 2017 Author Posted September 19, 2017 Talk about the Spits elevator :D Horriffic. ??? It is brilliant! I like a sensitive elevator.
indiaciki Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 (edited) Not if your joystick is broken and you can't find a descent joystick becase everybody is playing mmorpgs or fps. I'm flying for a month now with the x-box controller. That's when you feel the elevetaor. My "joysick" is 6mm long :D Edited September 19, 2017 by indiaciki
unreasonable Posted September 19, 2017 Author Posted September 19, 2017 I feel your pain. Such a small "joystick" reminds me of the Robin Williams joke from Good Morning Vietnam: "The US Army is now issuing condoms in three sizes - large, medium and Caucasian". Fortunately I have a G940 that has not had many of the issues people sometimes report with that stick, and FFB works well in BoS once you have found the right spring settings. It makes flying the Spitfire amazingly pleasurable. When it eventually breaks (G940) I am going to find an electronic goods repair shop and pay them whatever it takes to fix it. 1
indiaciki Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 (edited) I fly with a cyborg. it was okay while it lasted. Didn't last log, though. I have 2 great repair shops. Maybe I'll try them because you can't find a "normal" joystick here. They are either bad and overpriced or shit and overpriced if there are any at all. I feel your pain.
