SR-F_Winger Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 for myself. Gotty update my Warthog custom Stick thread as it has just gone obsolete:) http://www.i-jetpilot.de/joomla/index.php/shop-startseite/throttle-stick-rudder-2013-12-03-2013-12-03-2013-12-05-/kg20-detail 3
ST_Pirato Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Nice one. Is it one from Schreiner Schmidt?
SR-F_Winger Posted December 17, 2013 Author Posted December 17, 2013 (edited) Yet its Schreiner Schmit. Distribution is no longer via Schreinerschmid himself. I believe he has enough to do with producing and doing his actual business. BTW. He has som very neat Rudderpedals up for sale. But I for one am happy with my MFG Crosswinds. Incredibly awesome precision pedals. http://mfg.simundza.com/ Edited December 17, 2013 by VSG1_Winger
ST_Pirato Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Yes the MFG Pedals are great,I use them too.....that KG20 would compliment them very well. Huh' I think I still have one wish left for Christmas :D
SR-F_Winger Posted December 17, 2013 Author Posted December 17, 2013 (edited) Ill put in a good word for you at santas): Edited December 17, 2013 by VSG1_Winger
ST_Pirato Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 ...It won't convince him,I've been a bad boy :D
III/JG11_Tiger Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 It gets hard to keep up with all the new toys out there, damn I want some Crosswinds, but they will have to wait for next year. That stick would be awesome, just need a lotto win and I am in, even better there helicopter setup for DCS Huey, only 4900eu
-MG-Cacti4-6 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 jeebus...890e?! way more than i am willing to drop for a few years. I am quite happy with my hog and ch-pro pedals, and track ir of course
SR-F_Winger Posted December 21, 2013 Author Posted December 21, 2013 jeebus...890e?! way more than i am willing to drop for a few years. I am quite happy with my hog and ch-pro pedals, and track ir of course I had a hog before as well. And i wil keep it and use it as a stick once star citicen comes out. there the setups have short sicks mounted to the right of the pilotseat mostly. For "realistic" aviation ill use the KG20. Also i agree. 890 is quite a numer. However is see that as an invstment. I believe this stick is the last one i bought in my life most likely.
ST_Pirato Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 How long is the delivery time,if I may ask? Nothing wrong with spending a lot of cash for a Hobby, other people are buying guns,Motorbikes etc...these aren't cheap either.^^

I live in germany and had mine 3 days after ordering it. If it comes to availability in stock i believe he hase a few left currently ready to ship including one "special edition" the has another button instead of the 4way coolie hat. I think "special edition" is more of a marketing initiative and used to nicely describe "last of its sort". If you ask me its the same stick from an earlier batch and doenst have anything diffrent but the missing coolie. For that its 100 euros cheaper. Edited December 22, 2013 by VSG1_Winger
ST_Pirato Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Ah thats cool. I remember someone had ordered it from Schreinerschmid directly 1 or 2 Years ago and had to wait 1/2 year or something for it.
SR-F_Winger Posted December 22, 2013 Author Posted December 22, 2013 I would recommend you contact the shopowner before ordering and check if stock is available. Making those sticks, cockpits throttles and stuff is more of a hobby than his actual way of making his money. I think in the first place he has a business for CNC machinery craftsmanship. see here: http://www.schreinerschmid.com/Home the distribution of his sim hardware has been taken over by i-jetpilot.de Th owner of this shop is a very kind persona as well and i had some very nice conversations about simhardware with him. Ah thats cool. I remember someone had ordered it from Schreinerschmid directly 1 or 2 Years ago and had to wait 1/2 year or something for it.
ST_Pirato Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Okay thanks for the infos. Can't really afford it and I was just asking more out of curiosity. Maybe I'll get the chance in the near or far future though :D
1PL-Sahaj-1Esk Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 wow, what a wagon crazy stuff .. price is almost insane but there are still more expensive hobbies out there. thanks for sharing Winger. S!
79_vRAF_Friendly_flyer Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Well out of my league, by what a lovely stick!
VO101_MMaister Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Very nice stick, I know Hans makes quality sim stuff, including full cockpits. Regarding the price. It is not expensive compared to the costs of the parts and manufacturing. Quality metal work costs a lot. I used more money to build one on my own, not to mention the consumed time. Can you give a hint about how do you like it Winger? Does it come with some sort of damping or adjustable control forces?
SR-F_Winger Posted December 24, 2013 Author Posted December 24, 2013 (edited) Ok, here is a little headsup on the kg 20. after callibrating it with diview its one awesome precise piece of hardware. The overall look and feel compliments what you would expect of a stick in that priceclass. All the components are very high quality. The buttons are all metal, there is a 2way switch that gives everyl button butj the cooliehat a second function. Only adjustability is the rotation of the stick around the z-axis. Just loosen 2 screws and turn the stick to your ermgonomic needs. I believe you can have the length of the stick adjusted to your specific needs if you just say so when ordering one. Mr schmid will then most likely adjust accordingly. I checked back with mr schmid because i wanted to know what components are used in the mechanics of the stickbase. According to his information there is a combination of pressure springs, oildampeners and radial dampeners used to create the centeringforces. To my taste its just right, not too stiff and not too wobbely. There is only one really small, downside i realized thus far. The pressuresprings in the stickbase SOMETIMES do make a little "springsound" when they get compressed. Its really not loud but it is there. So in order to keep this little review as objective as possible i had to mention it. Other than that there is really nothing to moan about with this stick. I do not regret buying it, not even for a minute. And what i said earlier about this being the last stick i bought in my life seems to become more and more realistic. Cheers. Bando Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Thanks Winger. I was waiting for your review. I do hope you will do it again once you are totally familiar with the stick. I am seriously considering bying one. I move back to Europe in the summer of 2014 so then it will be time for some serious shopping. Got this stick and the MFG rudders on my list. All I'm looking for after that would be a thtottle quadrant of the same quality. Good times ahead. Enjoy your stick and hopefully write some more about it. Regards,
