Not CloD - Just the Atag Axis V Allies server. 

 

Easy workarounds for now - a not insurmountable problem to fix potentially.

I have been having the same issue, launcher crashing at the point the ATAG splash screen usually pops up.  I was able to work around this by disabling the steam overlay.  I don't know how/why this worked for me, but it was an easy fix and probably worth a try if you too experience this issue after the windows update nightmare.   Everyone has a different set-up, so mileage may vary.  Also, I don't launch the game from Edge(I make sure Edge is not open at all), I use Explorer.  Win 10 users will find the old explorer under "Windows Accessories".

Weird.  

 

Why you guys need open Edge, or Internet Explore... to start the game?  

 

I just log on STEAM, click in game shortcut, and connect, could represent 2/3 clicks more but is a program less in background.

I dont - but the splash screen is IE based. 

 

I have no overlays so it wasnt them. 

 

Disabled the update. End of issues until MS sort it.

Ok. You mean that blue screen with "Join TS... etc".

 

I have that KB's installed (Win10/64 PRO Any'), since at long time I don't fly online yesterday I join to ATAG main and fly a ~1:30 hour Blenheim mission without problems.

But I don't "feed" my Windows with that typical things who most users use to do (IE, Edge, Avast, etc).

Dont get too smug in thinking you've beat it- I flew for 3 days with the KB installed before it messed up...... :-)

Don't think you're talking about the same update Luse. This is one that only affects Win 10 and the ATAG server because of the "Splash" welcome screen that uses IE.  ATAG are looking into it. AS are Microsoft. I trust the former more than the latter to come up with a solution first!

 

It doesn't affect BOS or even Clod in general.

Oh I was thinking about the infamous one that make COD crash and

MS brought a fix out that seemed to work for some and now ATAG have removed the "welcome" splash screen so no-one is affected regardless of whether or not they have the latest update or not.

 

So its all good now.
