TAW Pe-2 Team Attack

Yesterday's joint successful attack on the factory ended with a meeting with three Bf110s and one Bf109. Even though we had enough damaged machines, we put our virtual lives behind Comrade Stalin

Two suggestions however:

- Lowlevel atracks like these are almost sucide, better divebomb with high speed and get out quickly ^^ (go to atleast 3.5k, 10km to the target enter a shallow 10-15° dive to gain speed, come out at ~2k over the target and begin 70° dive with high speed and nose up trim for pullout)

 

- you can fly a pe-2 on one engine: Put the destroyed engines rpm to 0% (lowers drag drastically) and close its radiators. (be careful, sometimes the other engines radiators close accidentially!)

Max out throttle and rpm of the working engine, put full counter rudder trim and give a bit of rudder should it not be enough (the ball of the turn/yaw indicator should be almost center). If you are very careful now you can fly the pe-2 and even climb a little (like 0.5 m/s) but you need to be very careful, make sure your airspeed does not fall below 240 kph). Its very rewarding if this technique is mastered as you can bring your plane back a long route. (longest was 70 km for me I think)
