=SqSq=switch201 Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 (edited) so I noticed that when you use the VR zoom button IL2 will stop tracking your headset position (while still tracking its rotation and such). I can understand this because when you are zoomed in, it might be jarring to have your head translate through space. I have also noticed that this happens when I press and hold the brakes. Maybe I have something else bound that button, I am not sure. has any one noticed that actions like pressing the brakes stop VRs positional (translation) tracking? [CPT]CptJackSparrow Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 I can move and look about fine while zoomed.
dburne Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 That is an issue with VR Zoom currently , the devs mentioned it at first release of VR support. Another combat flight sim does the same as well. It should not be happening when you press brakes, at least it does not for me. Definitely check your bindings.
=SqSq=switch201 Posted September 15, 2017 Author Posted September 15, 2017 (edited) Thanks I will do just that. I think I may have bound normal zoom (not the VR kind) to that button when I first started planing and didn't know there was a VR specific zoom. I can move and look about fine while zoomed. I think you mis understand my question. you can still look around and stuff when zoomed in, but you can't change the translation of you head in VR space. meaning you can not move your head along the x, y or z axis. you can still rotate your head and look around though.
