Luftwaffe & RAF Fonts

Here they are for anyone that's interested. Some of these are a bit difficult to obtain ever since the demise of the Simmers Paint Shop, unless you made backups. I'm still going through my fonts here but given that I have over a 1000 installed it might take awhile to get to them all. Still, here are some of the more important ones.

"DIN 1451 Mittelschrift" is also a good and highly accurate Luftwaffe font. If I had to guess, this is the font 1CGS uses for their German cockpit lettering. It's an easy find and download with a websearch.

Hi all,

 

Has anyone managed to make these work in GIMP? I haven't been able to. I'm trying to use the RAF ones to label a Tempest and they just keep showing in sans-serif instead. Also got some from a l8er website and they're not working either. Might be something I'm doing??!!

 

If anyone has any tips on what to use in GIMP I'd appreciate it.

 

Edit - Someone figured out for me that the capital letters are actually assigned to lower case keys; real intuitive : ) I'm away laughing now!

I'm trying to find the same for Russian lettering... those writings on tanks and planes are not easy (fonts) to find?
