=ARTOA=Bombenleger Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 just activate the key you got through steam in your profile on the IL2 homepage, i think that should work.
216th_Jordan Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 My girl bought me BoM through steam when I own BoS through the website and not steam, Can I still merge the two together or? Wait.. I thought BoM was only buyable if BoS was bought first on steam..confused now! However yes, what Bombenleger said: If you got a game key for BoM (doesnt matter where bought) just activate it on your il2 account and it should work instantly. Also no further Downloads are needed. btw: Very nice of your girlfriend!
Guest deleted@134347 Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 yup, it'll work. Steam keys are just for the local game authentication/launch using the Steam client. However the real keys from the il2 site is what allows you to play the actual modules once you log-in inside the game. So technically: - launch either Il2 client in Steam - bos, or Bom, - steam authenticates this client locally using one of the steam keys - once the client is running and you're presented with Il2 in-game login screen then you log in to the actual Il2 site, which then uses your il2 site keys to allow you to play Bos, Bom, collector planes, maps, early access, what have you.
Dutch2 Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Sorry but to keep things clear, if I do have a Bos from steam, could I buy the aditional airplanes from 1C web store and use them in the steam Bos game?
MAGNUM_PT Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Sorry but to keep things clear, if I do have a Bos from steam, could I buy the aditional airplanes from 1C web store and use them in the steam Bos game? Absolutely. Everything is interchangeable since it is unified by your IL2 account.
Dutch2 Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Thanks that what I do want to know, for the Ju52. Because it is not in the steam store.
Field-Ops Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 If you intend to use the IL-2 launcher still instead of steam you can simply activate the steam key on this website and it will work for your non-steam install.
