Tank engine won't start!

I have had the sim for about a week and I still CANNOT get the "Engine" to start "E" key on any of the tanks. I push the key and NOTHING FKN HAPPENS. I can't use the tanks at all.

I just started one of my tank missions. The engine in my player Pz III started just fine with the [E] key press. Shut it off too.

 

I assume you un-paused the mission first. What mission are you attempting to play?
