Uriah Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 For those who don't have TrackIR, or just have old eyes, or just arn't that good at spotting the planes and such, I have been trying to piece together a set of buttons to quickly spot the enemy and such. I have notice that 'Cam padlock: dangerous air units' does not kick in until the unit is at or less than 1 km. I wish it were 4 km. I am still playing with this and open to ideas. Cam padlock: dangerous air units RCtl+F8 JS-3 External free camera at enemy air units LCtl+F2 JS-4 External free camera at player plane F2 HAT 90 Camera: flyby F3 HAT 270 Camera: combat camera F4 HAT180 PILOT HEAD CONTROL PH: zoom in Num + JS-5 PH: zoom out Num - JS-6
ll./JG77_JadeBandit Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 When I used the hat view to look around I bound keys to pan back left and back right. I had shift + space to lock the target, but I rarely ever used it because it felt disorientating. Have you considered using a cheap webcam and FaceTrackNoIR? This has been a life saver for me, its a very cheap option for head tracking, and you can always build or buy a IR set later and use it with FaceTrackNoIR since it also has a free IR track plug in.
Uriah Posted December 17, 2013 Author Posted December 17, 2013 I am using TrackIR but having padlock is very nice at times. And for sure, if you dont have that you need some kind of system with a webcam.
