AndyJWest Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I have a whole load of small text files in my IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data folder, all with names like missionReport(2017-09-10_21-02-43)[30].txt. I'm fairly sure they are the result of turning on logging somewhere, but I can't remember where, or why I did it. Does anyone know how to turn them off?
Yogiflight Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 You enabled the mission_text_log in the startup config. for PWCG. The career generator needs them for the AAR. If you don't use PWCG you can turn it off by setting it to '0'.
BladeMeister Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Ah, thanks. That explains it. If I am not mistaken, there is an option within PWCG to have the mission log files deleted after PWCG has used them and is finished using it. S!Blade<><
Yogiflight Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Yes, when you start PWCG there is on the left side 'Configurations', where you can find it in 'User Preferations'. But, it will, of course only delete the mission report files of PWCG, but if you fly stock campaign missions, and maybe QMB as well, those missions will still produce mission report files.

Yup, that seems to be what happened with me. I'd installed PCWG some time ago, but hadn't used it much. I think most of the files were from QMB flights.
Thad Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Yea, I deleted thousands of them yesterday. Annoying.
AndyJWest Posted September 11, 2017 Author Posted September 11, 2017 Yea, I deleted thousands of them yesterday. Annoying. A pain in the nether regions to select them all to delete, too. It could probably be done with a batch file, if I could remember the syntax.
