Is there any way to set it easier than 100% Novice Pilots? 

I´m having trouble finding any targets on patrols and get shot down on ground attacks.

 

In game set icons on.  That is the only way I can see ground or air targets.

No misunderstanding on my part... I've used the mod extensively before you integrated it in to the ROF PWCG build.

 

I stand by what I said: Redundant and unnecessary for official integration. Worth the time for a modder to introduce when the option is available.

A non VR user just pretending to know what she is talking about.

 

Go get a VR first and stop pretending.

After the fm update the AI is lawn darting every single mission. Pretty impressive and funny sight though, coupled with the "all enemies lock into you" bug: you arrive at the area you are supposed to patrol, a flight of 8 migs/yaks appear and every single one go after you, so what you do ? You dive to the deck. Meanwhile the AI decides to follow you in a suicide dive, they all go straight into the ground.

 

Kinda funny when it happens to the enemy, but I tried to level up my squad but with this "bug" its simply impossible, every 2-3 missions most of my squad die in the way I described above.

There is an AI thread for developers.  Not hitting the ground has never been a high priority for BoX AI.  I hope that the added complexity of making the AI fly in Kuban will also generally improve suicidal tendencies in all cases.  We'll see.

Hey Patrick,

 

I have only recently started with an I16 campaign using PWCG. I am afraid that your generator acts as a showcase for everything that is wrong with the AI. These faults are not nearly as obvious in the inbuild generator. Main reason for that is the number of planes per mission (note to self, lower plane numbers in PWCG) and the behaviour of the bombers/ground attackers.

 

Altough I greatly enjoy the immersion offert by your frontend (the pilot tracking, logbooks, intel etc) which is a way better than vanilla.

 

I hope that with the new campaign system they seriously improve the AI.

The best way to get something changed is to keep pushing on it.  In the end their campaign engine and mine will do the same thing - put planes on a map.  If a larger number of planes causes wonky AI behavior then that will impact the 1C campaign as badly as it does PWCG.  Conversely, every improvement to the AI will help across the boar, including MP.

 

Post what you see.  Try to describe the scenario and the AI behavior clearly.  The team is dedicated and has the will to improve the product.  I know they have the AI can of worms open right now to get it to fly properly on the Kuban map.  They have a thread open where players can report issues.  I urge everybody to take advantage of this window to try to get their AI complaints addressed.

Java keeps me away.

PWCG was my hope to start using BoS but fell short during install (didn't notice the Java requirement before downloading, my bad)

(was hoping for that "dburne experience" :) )

 

Maybe some other year.

What is it about installing Java that is a concern?  Not challenging your opinion, just curious.

Security issues just like Flash, no Java nor Flashplayer on my system ever again.

Just so I am sure - coop more is not yet supported in BoX, is it?

No, we should have it in the next big update in December.
