Hello,

I was running Reshade up to BOS version 2.011 where it started to crash the game on exit.

Haven't installed since. I see there is a new Reshade version out - 3.0.8.

For anyone currently running Reshade, are they having any problems or issues with crashes - even with BOS crashing right at the end as you exit the game?

i m using  reshade 3.08 and the only issue i face is the systematic crash on exit but that s all .

I'm using 3.05.....never had a problem....

IS there a GUI for reshade 3.08??

Thanks all. I installed 3.0.8 with only Luma sharpen (so far at least) and it's working fine. No crashes or issues.

Yep there s one , you call it with "shift f2" at first start and then can assign any other command you want to it .

And there s other features show fps , show effects , modify effects directly with "sliders",  take screenshots png or bmp and save them where ever you want  etc etc ...

To kendo , what OS are you running as i see you encounter no crashes at all ...

Sorry 13Nrv - missed your post somehow.

I'm using Windows 10 64-bit Home edition.

Not getting crashes on exit from BOS, but I stripped the installation of Reshade down to just Luma-sharpen to keep it as simple as possible. Expect that is the reason.

Anyone has any Reshade 3.0 presets to share?

I have 3.08 with the following in-game and Reshade settings.  Mainly I use Liftgammagain to eliminate a prevalent yellow tint of the game.  This will however be monitor dependent.  I still get a crash every time when exiting.

In-game settings:
Setting:  Ultra
Screen resolution: 2560 x 1440
Full screen: OFF
Enable VR HMD: OFF
Multi GPU Support: OFF
VSync: OFF
SSAO: OFF
HDR: OFF
Sharpen: ON
Shadow quality: Ultra
Mirrors: Complex
Distant landscape detail: 4X
Landscape filter: Blurred
Grass quality: Ultra
Target FPS: OFF
Dynamic resolution factor: Full
Antialiasing: 4
Gamma correction: 1

Reshade v3.08.183 active  DX10+
Curves - Contrast = 0.080
Liftgammagain - RGB Gamma (0.970,1.000,1.000)
                          RGB_Gain (1.000,1.000,1.050)

Thank you, will try that gamma gain, never messed with that. About the landscape filter "blurred", I've tryed both blurred and sharp and didn't notice any difference.

I just installed reshade 3.3.2 . I've not used it before.

For the rendering API choice, I picked Direct3D 10+ , is this correct (I'm on Win 10) ?

I picked four shaders that were listed somewhere around this section. When I started IL-2, the overlay was present, indicating that reshade was running. This was on the initial screen with the rotating view of the IL-2 in the hanger. I was able to choose some settings there, but decided to go into a quick mission, sit on the runway, do the settings there. I get all the way to the point where the sim would actually start, and then it crashes.

Now I wonder, is there any point poking around in the reshade settings before starting the sim, trying to change something, that would make it not crash?

Or am I better off trying to uninstall it?

Is uninstall done, using the installer, 'overwrite existing installation', and then maybe pick no shaders? Or how do you uninstall it?

--

Forgot to mention, having made config changes in the reshade gui, on the screen with the rotating plane in the hangar, I believe I can see that reshade is actually working at this point, I think I could see the effect of the lumasharpen on the plane. But then it crashes the sim when I try to start a mission.

---

Ran dxdiag, I have DirectX 12

Saw some older posts for various games that suggest renaming dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll could avoid crashes, tried that, no change. Tried to rename it to d3d12.dll (because I've got directx 12), this resulted in turning reshade off. So at lease now I know how to effectively 'uninstall' it ... :)

From the installer, I changed it to have only 1 shader, in the hope that might make it not crash, but no change.

There's a setting, 'configuration mode' vs 'performance mode' , changed that to performance, no change.

So, I can fly again now, by turning it off, but would still be interested in finding out what can be done to not make it crash. Is it possible that it's incompatible with some specific graphics settings, whether in-game or in the nvidia control panel?

Yes, there is a new version: Version 3.3.2 was released on May 19th 2018.

Has anyone tried it? Is it worthy? What effect do you recommend if so?

Is there a risk of Micro-Stuttering? and if so, how do you uninstall it completely'

I know there some questions ... thanks in advance. :)

A week ago I temporarily gave up on reshade, after not getting it to work with only one shader, lumasharpen. In the meantime, I tweaked my graphics settings a fair bit, and since I changed so much, I gave it another go, and now it works. So it seems one of the many settings I changed (in game and nvidia control panel) must have screwed it. Pity I changed so much before retrying, slim chance of figuring out which setting it was.

However, I found, that when running, it seems to do something to the escape key. It didn't work anymore, which is kind of a killer. Lacking the normal way to finish the mission and exit, I had to quit the sim with task manager.

Edit: my brain wasn't working earlier. This happened when I was opening/using the reshade gui in a mission. So now, I retried, without opening it, and the escape key is fine. As long as this only happens when you have to make changes, it's no biggie.

Ditto.

Never seen this thread before but I am rather shocked that so many folks have severe issues with it. Really wouldn't want to miss it at this point.

I have removed it from my installation as I was suspecting that it was the one causing my micro stuttering.

I am testing now to see if I don't have it anymore.
