You're both insane. Bonus points for the Rogue Squadron 3D music, one of my favourite flight sims back in the day.

I know a retired Bundeswehr LW F-4 Phantom mechanic. He told me that his comodore flew his Phantom through a hangar just to piss off some annoying USAF guys that were stationed at his base for a few days. True story.

I wave the Bullsh*t flag on that. Not that us USAF fighter pilots can't be annoying...the flying through the hanger is BS.

and drunk? I am sceptical too. But that doesn´t mean things like that did not happen.. but there are definatly more myths and fotoshops then real cases from the early jet age.. but that is also because whoever did it, would have a wrecked career if cought. I think it is funny that this barnstorming classic still is makeing waves, even today... humans see a hole and just gotta try putting stuff trough it ;=)

@busdriver. It's a true story. And to the LW they were very annoying during the 80s. Believe me,

Well, I was flying Phantoms around Germany 1981-1984. I watched several airfield attacks flown by LW guys. Extremely impressive! I engaged in completely unauthorized dogfights with LW, French, Belgian, RAF, Danish, Dutch, Norwegian pilots at low latitude. I believe the only thing that is true about the story is some guy told you it happened, ergo it's true. But I am a skeptical as$hole by nature. High speed pass at naught height...I've seen it and believe it. High speed inverted pass at naught height...I've seen it and believe it. Aileron rolls on takeoff with the gear still down...I've seen it and believe it.

No matter, I'm not disputing some guy told you this story. I'm not disputing you believe it happened. I'm simply a skeptical as$hole.  :salute:
