Nibbio Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 ...sitting on top of the monitor, blowing on my face and headset while playing. HMD used to get a little hot during long play sessions, and sometimes the lenses would steam up. Very comfortable, highly recommended, and increases realism when flying the I-16
dburne Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 I have a Mitsubushi ductless air unit on the wall in front of and above me, oscillating nice cold air down onto me whilst flying. Never have a problem with sweating or lens fogging. Feels pretty nice!
marklar Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 I've been using a fan since I bought CV1 a year ago. I would not play without it.
ZnarF Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Me too... and if the lenses still show a problem of steaming, I clean them with a liquid solution used for recorders flute to prevent condensation and deteriorating the sound when played: 50% water, 50% alcohol (pharmaceutical or even...vodka!) and a bit of dishwashing liquid! Do you have a picture of the usb fan you use? Does it prevent fog to the same point of a fan on the desk?
Nibbio Posted September 11, 2017 Author Posted September 11, 2017 Here's the fan: https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B06XY9H9DZ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It sits maybe 50 cm from my face, taped to the top of the monitor, lenses never fog. Plug'n play, didn't even need to overclock it
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 (edited) Check Out the company VR-cover.com , they send from Thailand , they got really good foam replacement solutions. My Rift sits on the face with leather.. no fogging whatsoever, and not even expensive. Plus, a nice feel. Only bummer is they don't have latex :D Edited September 12, 2017 by 2./JG51_Fenris_Wolf

You got the basic set? https://vrcover.com/product/oculus-rift-facial-interface-foam-replacement-basic-set/
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 (edited) Yes, precisely. I recommend it. Then based on temperature and preference, you can switch between leather and the additional cotton. The latter completely eliminates the embarassing red diver's goggle-lines on our faces Edited September 13, 2017 by 2./JG51_Fenris_Wolf
