Juri_JS Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 I am working on a 8.(Pz)/Sch.G. 1 campaign on the spring Kuban map. 4
Juri_JS Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 (edited) It will certainly take quite some time before it's finished. At the moment I am still struggling with the Hs-129's AI and the aircrafts slow speed, both are causing some problems in the missions I've build so far. Edited September 7, 2017 by Juri_JS
Blitzen Posted September 7, 2017 Author Posted September 7, 2017 I am working on a 8.(Pz)/Sch.G. 1 campaign on the spring Kuban map. Wow! Do you need any Beta testers? BTW Make sure you give them escorts....they're dead........"ducks"....without it!
Asgar Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 (edited) did someone say beta tester? Edited September 7, 2017 by 6./ZG26_Asgar
Juri_JS Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 I have eight missions finished, but I am not really happy with them, because of numerous AI problems. I hope the next update will solve some of these issues. 1
PatCartier Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 I don't think there are any AI improvment in the next update. I hope i'm wrong.
Juri_JS Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 I think we will see an improvement of AI ground collision avoidance in the next patch. Other problems I have with the Hs-129 are collisions in the air, crashes during take-off and the inability to form and hold formations.
csThor Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 (edited) Just a sugestion: I haven't been able to fly Kuban and any of its planes, yet, but from what I've read the Hs 129 isn't exactly the easiest type to operate. How about circumventing the AI issues by building four single missions with just the player as some kind of flight school pack? Simple flying (take-off, low-level flight and navigation, return to airfield and landing) first in clear weather, then in adverse conditions (low clouds, wind etc) and then some kind of shooting range - one for bomb loads, the other for busting T-34s. With weather variations this would give players the chance to learn how to operate this bird without any AI issues whatsoever. Edited January 9, 2018 by csThor
Juri_JS Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 The first two missions in my half finished campaign are training missions at a target range near Kerch, so the player can learn the correct use of the MK 101 and the bomb aiming device. 2
Asgar Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 i'm really hoping to see you make Co-Op missions/campagins once the Co-Op mode is implemented. I really enjoy your missions Juri
Juri_JS Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 I am not really interested in online flying, so I have no idea how multiplayer missions are created. 1
Jade_Monkey Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 (edited) I think we will see an improvement of AI ground collision avoidance in the next patch. Other problems I have with the Hs-129 are collisions in the air, crashes during take-off and the inability to form and hold formations.I have a nice mission ready but the AI Hs129 simply doesnt know how to take off. They start fine, then they slowly veer to the right, they compensate too hard to the left and end up looping on the ground mid-takeoff. I could make the mission start as air-spawn but it's not really what I had in mind. Hopefully they fix these minor bugs even if they dont do a major AI overhaul.il I know they said they would fix the planes crashing into mountains. Edited January 10, 2018 by Jade_Monkey
PatrickAWlson Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 PWCG supports Hs129 (Kuban 1943). It also supports coop. Therefore it supports Hs129 in coop Not hand crafted but it is a continuous campaign.
