56RAF_Roblex Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Several people have made passing references to doing this and I know it is less than ideal but I just want to try it. My problem is that when I run the app on my phone and PC it asks me to start my app via Riftcat on the PC and gives me the choice of either going through Steam or Oculus Rift. If I choose the Steam option it just complains that it cannot find the sensors and controllers. If I go via the Rift option and find & run the launcher or IL" exe then up pops a window saying Vridge is hosting IL2 and the screen changes on the phone to the VR warning screen so it has obviously connected but then it fails saying it cannot reach the mobile. Any thoughts?
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Don't know, but IL-2 only runs through SteamVR as far as I know.
1PL-Husar-1Esk Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 (edited) I got it worked via Riftcat PC and Vridge Android app (Samsung Galaxy S6). I even use trackIR because lack 6dof in Gear VR. It work only with SteamVR. Make sure you run home setup or how it's called. Edited September 6, 2017 by 307_Tomcat
Tone71 Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Hey Tomcat, how did you get TrackIR working with vRidge? I currently have it set up on my Galaxy S7 but using phone for head tracking. Are you using Freetrack?
1PL-Husar-1Esk Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 I'm using OpenTrack. There is an option in Riftcat where you can choose what type of tracking you want to be enabled - phone sensors or TrackIR.

I saw the option but haven't properly looked into getting it to work; will definitely check it out.
