dburne Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 Anyone else seeing this? I am running in VR, and recently changed to the High preset to give me a little better performance over the Ultra. I am flying a PWCG campaing on the Stalingrad Map, and on some missions I am seeing banding in the clouds and when it is present they stutter as they move across. Also have had a couple of game crashes as well, where IL-2 has stopped responding. 1

dburne Posted September 6, 2017 Author Posted September 6, 2017 Well so far today it has not happened again, game has been rock solid and smooth. Have flown about 4-5 missions in PWCG. I know there was a small update this morning , so don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. If it happens again will get a screenshot and post here.

Flying a PWCG campaign on the Stalingrad Map. I think each time was in PWCG campaign in Stalingrad. Also I had flown many missions in between these two times without seeing this.

TheSNAFU Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 (edited) I have experienced this or at least something similar to it without VR. It seems to appear when flying in heavy cloud weather once I get above the clouds. I don't recall seeing the banding when I'm below the clouds. I also see clouds stutter regardless if heavy or light clouds. The game otherwise is running smooth as silk and fps is locked and runs at a constant 60 with just the clouds stuttering when I look at them at certain angles. They pass smoothly when I'm in the clouds. None of this is a major issue but I've and wondered about it. After one of the patches the cloud stuttering seemed to have been fixed but is back now though I cant say when it returned. Edited September 15, 2017 by TheSNAFU

Roger that. I saw that same cloud thing way earlier. That`s why I asked some pictures to confirm if it was the same issue. It`s quite rare, but happens sometimes.
