Humm, maybe its my settings, but I thought the rain was pretty bad to be honest. One bad thing out of a massive amount of good. Not bad enough to complain, but I've only tried it a couple of times and was disappointed on both.

Snow in VR is very very nice.

Formation flying through the mountains with low clouds in VR is just beautiful!! Flying the I16 around the coastline in Kuban is a VR must.

 

I'll have to try the rain next.

I plan on putting our turbine fan in front of me when I try that.

Hmmm, I thought the rain looked great myself and being in Melbourne I've seen a lot of rain. However, I see you're in the UK so I think you probably know good rain when you see it so thats a bit strange.

 

OP has a Rift, and I have a Vive and it still looks great. I am also using Balanced settings fwiw.
