Permanent crash after updating to ver. 2.009

Hello folks,

I had BOM/BOS running perfectly fine on my rig until the update 2.009 came out. After that, the game started to crash as soon as you press START button. After that the game freezes and/or quits, a generic message comes up post-116941-0-71608400-1504471970_thumb.png.

My rig specs:

i5 2600K

16Gb

GTX 980

Windows 7

List of the things I tried:

- Reinstalled OS and updated all system drivers

- Reinstalled the game several times

- Tried older versions of nVidia drivers

- Tried to adjust graphics quality settings (from low to ultra quality)

I haven't been able to fly since April, hoping that every new update will fix the issue, but the game keeps crashing, all the same. I would greatly appreciate if someone could help here. Thanks!

Some overclocking software programs caused this sort of behaviour. Precision X did it for me. I think its all Riva Tuner based stuff.  You could check you haven't any of this type of stuff running.

I think there is a way to have it run harmoniously if you need it - personally I don't so, like you, binned it.

Glad you're back in the game!

I used Precision XOC to see how much resources the game uses in OSD, plus I like to have fan rpm adjusted by a curve to run the graphics card cooler, to extend its life from gradual baking. So, after poking around this morning, it turned out that MSI Afterburner works just fine with IL-2. Anyway, I'm so glad it works again - I really missed flying.
