Hi,

I downloaded the Kuban update without problem August 29th and played.

Now today, I was going to launch the game, but for some reasons I had a 175 mb update to do... And it failed. Now every time I launch the game, I have an update error.

Should I re-download the game from the beginning?

Thank you

Can't remember the details, but IIRC there are some posts around here talking about deleting some sort of update folder or files and then trying again - you might want to search for those and see if there's a step easier than doing an entirely new install.

Didn't work... I tried to delete everything in the update folder, but still have an error for no reason. I don't know why it's trying to do a 175 mb update... There was no announcement about this one right?

Will have to install it again.

I haven't seen anything about any further updates since the original 2.012 update and the hotfix a couple of days later.

I reinstalled everything from scratch and I just got

Guess I can't play the game anymore...

Probably not a very widespread problem or I would think we'd be seeing lots of posts about it.  Why not try submitting a customer support ticket - maybe they can help sort it out.

They said the same thing about deleting the update folder... Whatever, still have the Failed To Update.

Maybe there is a bug with the update file from the server?

Possibly just some sort of temporary glitch/problem with their master server and/or your connection to it. I noticed a couple of other threads popping up today about people having problems trying to login.   Might be worth waiting a day or two and trying again.  Frustrating, I'm sure.  Rest assured that there's some really good stuff waiting in there for you once you get it working though.

Yeah... Will try to delete everything from the game and try re-re-reinstalling it again in a couple of days.

Salutations,

How are you launching the game.

If you are not using the launcher.exe file, please do so.

Hi,

I finally fixed the problem. All failed install I did this weekend were creating a new unins00X.exe in the folder and I think it was adding more useless stuffs. Also, the server problem people were running into was maybe the issue... We will never know.

I decided to cleanup the Il2 BOS folder and delete everything. I was unable to delete some files because of permission issues. I wasn't able to change the owner of the file... I had 4 uninstaller that I wasn't able to delete.

Someone on MS Answers forum told me to restart the PC in safe mode and that's what I did. I was finally able to delete everything in the folder.

After that I just reinstalled the game from scratch.

-----

To restart in safe mode:

1. Click Shift + Restart

2. Click Troubleshoot

3. Click Advanced Options

4. Click Startup Setting

5. Restart

6. Choose what you want. F4 = Safe mode

Same problem is happening to me too.  Was fine a few days ago.

I don't know if it's just this update, but since I reinstalled the game, I have a weird game launching problem.

When I launch the game, the screen is freezing (black screen or 1C logo), but I still hear the sound of the game. Each time I have to Ctrl + Alt + Delete to go out of the game and come back to fixe that.

I will wait and see the next update. Maybe it will fixe it.

I have the same problem. The screen is almost always freezing at the start of the game, or when it is running, in the middle of a mission, then the vehicles stop, the sound continues and the chimneys continue to smoke. But I can not say whether it is exclusively at the game or at the Windows 10 update, which appeared at approximately the same time.
