Operation Typhoon AOB questions

I'm currently reading Hardesty's and Grinberg's Red Phoenix Rising: the Soviet Air Force in World War II. In chapter 2, The Air Battle For Moscow, they mention the 11th and 12th GIAPs were flying from "Moscow's historic Central Aerodrome" located on the Leningrad highway adjacent to the Petrovskiy Palace. I think they meant Petroff Palace rather than Petrovskiy, or that could be the WWII name.

Couple of questions...

Regarding the 11th and 12th GIAPs, what were they equipped with? When did they achieve Guards status, and what were their previous regimental numbers?

Regarding their base/aerodrome, I can't find Central Aerodrome on the BoM autumn map. Did it have another designation?

Petroff Palace is Petrovskiy, a matter of translation :)

12 GIAP was 120 IAP before, they flew MiG-3s mainly. Many of their aircraft are clearly seen thanks to footage of the guards title awarding ceremony. They flew out of Khodynka, indeed a historical airfield inside Moscow by Leningrad Prospect near the Dynamo station and stadium.

11 IAP flew Yak-1s during the Moscow defence, but they were based at Kubinka.
