VR Desktop 2.012

Pre update I used to see the following scene on my desktop while using VR:

 

 

Now I see an image of each eye as follows:

 

 

I understand we were not able to get the desktop to go full screen pre 2.012 update and were stuck with what is seen in the 1st image. I wonder if this has changed post 2.012, though I can't figure out how, if possible. Certainly nothing changes when I select/deselect the full screen tickbox.

They changed that for everyone.

 

Hint: Switch windowed mode on and set resolution lower. Makes it much easier to switch tasks. And gives you some fps, if you're coming from fullscreen/high screen resolution.
