[TWB]80hd Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 I pop in and out of this game a couple times a year and play for a couple weeks/months depending upon what all is afoot (whether TAW is going, etc). This causes me a learning curve of sorts each time, but also affords me a perspective unavailable to those who play constantly and might not feel each incremental change as keenly. Recently I have been out of commission due to home and work projects, compounded by a broken headset/mic (the alternative was horrific and caused the Goldilocks b****** in TWB to cry about my "ear rending curses" anytime I would get excited/upset) Rolling back in just before this last patch, I will say the game felt smoother all the way around; this is coming from the perspective of an intermediate pilot/player, I can get around fine without GPS, I can take off and land (yeah, it's like a drunken goose but it happens), and can dodge AAA/put weapons on target. I don't feel the nuances of different airframes, the "nose bouncing around" of the 109s some people complain about, etc, but as someone in between the newb and the expert, I will say that I definitely feel that the game is significantly more accessible to new players simply based on the ease with taxiing and what I feel is an improved responsiveness from the controls. This sim gets better and better, and man that Kuban map is beautiful. Thanks for continuing to do what you guys do, from this players point of view, it's money well spent! <S> 2
