Stratman59 Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 (edited) Hi all, I just bought a Saitek/Logitech x52 pro. I've downloaded the latest driver Software version 8.0131.0 and Driver Version 8.0.121.0. the problem is that when I run the programming software the software loads in a small window, about 15cm square and unlike most windows where you can click on a corner and expand it on this you can't, it means you can only see a small portion of the data. (see attached screen capture) Also when I click on the joystick icon down in the bottom right corner (show hidden icons) when I right click all I get is an option to 'clear'? ***Think I've solved the issue by abandoning the crapy Saitek software and using joy2key to set my pinkie and then setting everything in the game, much better all round*** Edited August 30, 2017 by Stratman59
flyingskytro Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Hi Stratman59 Thanks for the hint, I've had the same issues with the Saitek/Logitech SST profiler software on my X52 Pro. I also downloaded joy2key and simply bound the left 'shift' button to my pinkie, in order to use it as a multiplier; everything else, I set up in the in-game 'key-mapping' menu. However, if I want to use the pinkie, e.g. in combination with a hat switch for the yaw trim, it doesn't work. It correctly shows the left 'shift'-button in the menu, but always together with the designator for the pinkie-button (Lshift+joy0_b5), instead of the other button I am pressing in order to use it with the pinke... Of course, joy2key is running in the background, the X52 Pro works flawlessly... How have you set up the pinkie in joy2key? Thanks!
Sokol1 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 (edited) For avoid that game controls assignment window pick the joy button* together with the key send by Joy2Key - the Shift: In game controls don't press the joy button, but instead the key in keyboard, can be LShift - The 'Shift' in Joy2key work as LShift and RShift.** E.g. LShift+joy0_pov0_180. In that way during gameplay when press the joy button assigned for "Shift" only the LShift+joy0_pov0_180 is detected. I test with IL-2 Pitch Trim and work OK. * Using Joy2key the joy button continue be a DirectX button, with Saitek soft is not. ** Joy2key allow assign LShift or RShift - just right click in the box and select - e.g. for commands pre assigned, but for this case this is not needed. flyingskytro Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Perfect, thank you Sokol1! My mistake was to press the 'pinkie'-button on the stick in the in-game menu instead of using the keyboard, as you described. Thanks again for your assistance! After days of having trouble installing and setting up everything, I am now soon be ready for my first virtual flights.
