Disable ASW with HOTAS

Does anyone use a HOTAS command to disable ASW?

 

I have the Saitek X52 Pro so I'm using the Saitek profiler software. I mapped Ctrl+Num1 to one of the buttons but it doesn't seem to be working. My keyboard doesn't have numpad so I had to use the virtual keyboard during mapping, but I don't think that should be a problem.

You need to hold that button in order to work. If you use a macro, make sure that each release is a 1000ms or more after pressing the key.

 

When ingame, and spawning for the first time, wait 5 seconds, do not start your engine yet. Now pull your macro. Afterwards, start your engine. If the propeller disk bugs the view, it's still on. You can push the button again after the whole engine startup procedure. Sometimes, you need multiple tries, even without macro.

I'll keep trying. I already have it set up as a macro with 8 seconds between pressing and relasing (I was going a bit extreme after it didn't work at first). 

 

I'll set it with 2 secs and try multiple times and see if I can get it to work.
