TIR 5

I was having some issues with my TIR 4 so I pulled the rigger on  a TIR 5. Before I was using the old 4.2.039 software with my 4 because it worked better for me but now that I have a 5 I am using the 5.2.2 software. I do not like it so far... Unless I am missing something it seems that there is no way to save or set a default profile that loads if no other program has loaded. Am I missing something here?

Yes indeed.

IF I am understanding you correctly, on the profile tab, have the profile you desire to load as default in the profile box listing, and to the right of that put a checkmark in the box titled " exclusive". This profile will always load and be your default profile. Also any sim you launch will use that profile as long as it is marked exclusive, irregardless of any association you may have in the titles list.

Not bad at all, I am somewhat behind the learning curve obviously, did manage my first dogfight yesterday and downed a 109 in my second attempt so I feel good about that anyway. Have mostly been trying to improve my flying and landings of the Lagg, and working on tweaking my Warthog profile for it.

 

Will be spending some more time with it today, am on vacation now the rest of the year, and will be starting a new PC build tomorrow morning. Hopefully will be up and ready for the new build next weekend... The performance is very good on my current system, looking forward to what it will be on the new one.

Anyone know how to make TrackIR control the external view cams? I'm so used to this in other sims it's default and I don't have to use the mouse at all, can keep my hands on the stick.

This sim currently does not have that ability, and I so wish it did. I am used to it as well in some other flight sims.

It is a pain for me, as I would like to utilize my POV hat for trim, but then if I use it to move the camera in external view, then it trims as well which would not be good.

 

I posted on this on the " suggestion to developers" forum, and also in the " question to developers" forum, some time ago.

I would encourage you, and any other TIR users that would like to have this implemented, to do the same.

Maybe if they hear enough requests for this they might consider implementing it.

Will do. I think pretty much every sim uses it for external views by default. Does RoF? I don't remember.
