Ability to mod BOS?

just out of interest (and no I'm not a modder of coder or whatever), can BOS be modded? eg. are there tools, etc out there which would allow the community to create their own maps? eg. a community created English Channel map or North African map for example.

Currently there aren't.  However Jason mentioned that he would like to see the mods-on mode introduced as part of the BoK project.  I haven't heard any further information on it since that initial report at the beginning of the year though.  Fingers crossed.
