Join Server

I attempt to join a multiplayer server... it does download but I am kicked back to the main menu a vast majority of the time.

Is there any particular reason for this?

Does this happen on many different servers or is it the same server you try to join each time?

 

I have had issues like you describe once in a while, specifically with the DED official servers, which I'm pretty sure was a server-side issue. The server appeared to have players on it, but the number never changed while the issue was there, so I think that was just frozen and the server wasn't actually running.

This is a common issue as far as I'm aware, though I mostly hear of it on WoL - which I chalk up to it being the most popular one. It's especially an issue after a server restart when everyone is trying to join at the same time. I am not quite sure what causes it but it's quite probably the server reserving the same slot for a handful of players, whoever loads in gets it and the rest are kicked back out to try again. After a server restart I usually have to join anywhere from 6-12 times.

Problem with all servers. Seems you get back to the main menu if more than 1 person wants to get in the server at the same time.

That's the reason, and i hope that dev can work on that problem, because it's a big issue when you have an event with many players.

Yes, that's an issue that shouldn't exist in 2017.

 

I guess you get used to it after a while, but it's weird if you think about it.
