JG27_Chivas Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 When the latest low latency, high resolution, 6DOF, no motion blur, no motion sickness prototype was shown to investors, another 75 million was invested. http://techcrunch.com/2013/12/13/oculus-vr-oculus-rift-strategy-projections/ http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/consoles/the-new-oculus-rift-reportedly-won-t-make-people-sick-1207927 1
Uufflakke Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Ah yes, I just read the news here: http://www.wired.com/business/2013/12/oculus-vr-funding/
Rigsby Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 I just hope it's improved 100% because they blurry mess I owned was sold on ebay after a week.
Mingan Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 I just hope it's improved 100% because they blurry mess I owned was sold on ebay after a week. No need to hope because it is. Everyone knows the prototype has many flaws.
Rigsby Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Anyone know when the new HD dev kit will be out? I'm a sucker for buying new hardware just to check out.
DD_bongodriver Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Not sure that one is going on public sale, I thought it was a limited run being produced to distribute to the larger developer groups.
OBT-Psycho Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 even though they were telling that HD version was prototype, and consumer version may have higher resolution screen, which blow me up. I don't had a chance to try any of OR gears, but be sure I will purchase one as soon as I can. this thing is just a dream came true
andyw248 Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 That article says they hope to have the consumer version out by the holidays 2014... so it's another year
YoYo Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 I still waiting when I will see my hands in this tool ;- )))
