In what sense ? Most the servers in mp run through varying times and dates for missions so spits are not always available

 

Most the squadrons therefore don't limit themselves to one airframe afaik

Just wondering, what do you mean by this exactly. What's the reason to limit yourself to just one airframe?

It's extremely common for online squads, particularly Bf-109 or Fw-190 ones since there were really just two major models for the Luftwaffe throughout the war (compared to, just in game, I-16, MiG-3, P-40, Yak-1, LaGG-3, La-5, P-39, Spitfire, Yak-7).

 

To answer the thread, I don't think there is BUT I'm pretty sure one will show up sooner or late once BoK is out and MP servers accommodate for the Spitfire.

In the original IL2 there were many LW squads that only, and I mean only flew the Bf 109 or the FW 190.

 

Personally I think they missed out on a lot of interesting game play and fun, but for them it's not about fun, it's just about winning.
