Talisman Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Hi Folks, Just returned to BoS after a few years away and downloaded it fresh today. Trouble is, it keeps crashing. Sometimes while I am trying to assign keys and other times when I try to fly a quick mission. I am unable to even get as far as getting in the cockpit yet before the launcher crashes ( I have changed from Win 7 to Win 10 since last time I used BoS with no issues before. Is it a Win 10 thing or is there some secret I need to know to get this sim running now. Any information, tips and advice would be much appreciated. Thanks for the tip anyway. Happy landings, Talisman
Talisman Posted August 26, 2017 Author Posted August 26, 2017 Mission loads, but as soon as I click on 'Start' (to enter cockpit and fly) in the green box on the bottom left of screen, the game crashes (
Talisman Posted August 27, 2017 Author Posted August 27, 2017 Overlays? Not sure what you mean by that one word Boo. However, if you mean Steam overlays (googled overlays and found some people had Steam problems) then it should not be a problem as I don't use BoS via Steam and have turned Steam off anyway to try and get BoS to run. I only use Steam for CloD. Happy landings, 56RAF_Talisman
Talisman Posted August 27, 2017 Author Posted August 27, 2017 Hi Folks, Me again. Problem found. Installed BoS yesterday and tried for 7 hours to get this simulation to run, but no joy (( Today I find that because I use Saitek Cyborg Evo FF stick it is causing BoS to crash. Can't fly BoS. What a shame (( My Saitek Cyborg Evo FF stick works fine with DCS and CloD, but has this problem with BoS? The publicised solution appears not to work. I am not flying without FF and have a stock of Saitek Cyborg Evo FF sticks in the cupboard to see me through the next 10 years or so. Looks like I won't be a customer for BoM, BoK or upcoming Pacific. I can't believe it. What a shame, no more BoX for me then and I wasted my money on BoS it would appear. The BoX dev team seem so passionate and customer friendly too, I shall be missing out on a good flight sim and dev team by the looks of it. Good luck all and happy landings, but without me (( 56RAF_Talisman
