Hi all,

 

I was playing with Pe-2 bomber and was using 10 pack 100M bombs, but somehow I was able to use only 4 bombs. I can see on panel that I still have 6 bombs but they just didnt drop...

 

Is it normal?

Did you open the bomb bay doors? With that loadout, some are carried internally.

Look for the key binding to open the doors to the bomb bays, then drop the bombs, and close the bomb bays again

all as been said.

With the Pe2, up to 6 100 kg bombs are loaded in the bomb bay.
Any bombs above these 6 are loaded under belly.
For the 250 and 500 they are only loaded under belly.

I do actually like to fly the Pe-2 with 6x100 quite some times. It's so much faster and more agile, plus climbs a lot better.

Bombs internally it's another plane, trim regime is different, centre of gravity seems to move far behind because of the 2 bombs in the engine nacelles. Same for the Ju-88 with internal bomb load only, it's still 1100 kg more, but she's nearly as agile as empty and willingly climbs. Sadly the design of most online-server scenarios doesn't offer tempting rewards for choosing such configurations.
