STUKA EVENT - Sept 16 ATAG Axis V Allies Server 200UTC

Hi

 

You are cordially invited to come and fly with us during our "Stuka Loopy" event. These events normally attract around 15-20 bombers and as many fighters as cover. We often enjoy the involvements of players from squads like JG4 and 9/52 and the 71st.

 

Its not a scripted event and we fly the map that's on. normally the whole thing lasts about 2 hours.

Very nice video of the event.  On the other hand, this is what happens when 36 stukas get intercepted by 7 hurricanes and the 109 escorts are half asleep :-p

Yes unfortunately.  It is hard to get 36 stuka pilots to agree to spend 30 minutes getting ready and rendezvousing with the escorts and another 30 minutes crossing from Normandy knowing they will probably die.  The useless 109 pilots were human though :-)

I hope i didnt sound all "ewwww that just AI" - i only started taking part in SOW from 3 so i didnt know for sure if mixed raids were a feature eariler. Grpahics look wildly diffence from the TF 4.312 game I'm used too. 

 

I remember in SOW4 trying to get the Woolston Raid with 88s organised with the other OKL guys. Kofi Annan would have struggled with all the differences of opinion from the squads about how to do it!! I think in the end we managed about 14 88s and some random 111s,  110s and 109 Bs.  We crushed it to within a single SC50 of its life but still didnt do it before the nightime builders tipped up to rebuild it!!!

 

I miss SOW - I hope one day the chaps see a way to bring it back to Clod or even BOS. I know something has been run on DCS but I cant get on with that game as it stands (wobbles).
