[DBS]steveiy Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 I hope this isn't as stupid as my last forum question... When replaying a track that was recorded in VR, the default in-cockpit camera behaviour is to repeate the exact movements that the pilot's head made with the VR headset on. The "Head Unlink Cockpit" camera mode (L-Alt F1) is what I used to use to look around while playing back a recording in the flat screen days. However, in VR it unlinks the pointing component but not the position component. So for example if I leaned forward and looked left in the original flight, the camera will lean forward and look left in the playback. With L-Alt-F1, the camera will look straight ahead, but it will still lean forward. There seems to be nothing I can do to unlink the position component.
Trapper Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Yes I have the same issue as you, and I'm sure all VR users have this (it's annoying). I don't know of any way to fix it, hopefully there's a dev fix sometime soon. Other than this the VR in game is so stunning and I love it so much I just try to ignore the replay drift. However it does take some of the enjoyment out of the superb replay system in VR.
41Sqn_ZaxOnTheBeach Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Same problem here - Hoping that this gets fixed at some point!
EngineGears Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 Summary: Fixed... Use LCtrl-F1 When in VR: If I replay a recording right after starting the game it works well.. no forced head turning, I can bob my head around a bit. If I replay after making a recording I get the horrible forced head turning but pressing: LCtrl-F1 (Tracking) works well - no forced head turning. LAlt-F1 doesn't force turning but locks your head in position which is almost as bad. I do notice some weird glitching .. maybe it's the pilot model appearing and disappearing .. when I've had to use LCtrl-F1.
