Stratman59 Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 As the title says really, would be useful if finding an opportunity at close range but having it set to 300m of vice versa? Is it possible in flight or does it have to be pre set in the hanger?
Jade_Monkey Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 It has to be set before flying, as it was in real life (iirc).
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 It has to be set before flying, as it was in real life (iirc). This. Harmonizing the sights and guns was no small task and could take hours of tweaking and testing.
Stratman59 Posted August 15, 2017 Author Posted August 15, 2017 Ah o.k, i thought that little scale wheel below the sight was for adjusting convergence? If not what is that little wheel?
Jade_Monkey Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 (edited) That's the gunsight. It's adjustable by the pilot to be able to tell the distance to target. So it's sort of the inverse process of what you wanted to do. You adjust the gunsight based on the wing span of the enemy, that should tell you how far they are, and they you can shoot based on your plane's convergence. I dont know much about it, someone here will probably explain it better. Edited August 15, 2017 by Jade_Monkey
Ghost666 Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 If you want to adjust convergence in flight, just go down to the supply section fill out req. form ???(forgot the exact number) and get a standard issue R2D2 unit. And don't forget the prop wash so Can keep the prop clean in flight, less drag, no loss of RPM. They really are handy little fellows. 3
