Not sure, to be honest. Have a look through the Developers' Diaries. They're interesting and full of stuff that many of us have long forgotten.

It's a fair request to ask for the roadmap. I've been reading the updates but have lost track of what the plans are for the next month or so. Perhaps a sticky with the word "roadmap" in it would help.

See Developer Diary #39. The last three paragraphs give a synopsis of the road map to IL2's future. Incidents and occurrences notwithstanding, this is 1C/777's goal. It's the last update I remember seeing.
