Panther's Alternate/Mirror links to Official Skin Templates

In case folks might be having trouble with the official server links (e.g., as per this thread: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/13615-skin-templates-links/page-7  ), I've uploaded the templates I'd previously D/L'ed from the official links and made alternate copies of them available below.  Unfortunately, I didn't get around to D/L'ing the last couple of templates (Bf-109 G4 and Bf-110 G2) before the official links went bad, so they're still missing from the list below - I'll add them as soon as I can get my hands on them.  (Thanks to MF-beepee for sending me the missing templates, which have been added to the list below.)

I'm not sure what you mean by the above comment - these are the same official skin templates released by the devs.  I don't know if they used them to create the default skins in the game or not (and IIRC some of the default skins for some of the more recently released aircraft types were created by community members (e.g. Panzerbar), who I'm sure spent a lot of time working to customize/improve on the base templates for those skins).  But in any event, they're just starting points for users to create their own custom skins, and you're free to make whatever improvements you would like to them in the process of creating your own skins.

 

There are also a number of 4K skin templates that have been released by various community members, if you're intent on trying to create better-looking skins than the default templates will yield.

What I want to achieve is: to make a skin that looks just like the "Default" skin selection in game, but that has a number on the side, one each for me and my wing leader.

 

The *Public skins we can download, using the link in the OP, don't look the same as the "Default" skin in game.

 

I have been using some of the 4K skins, as they end up looking much more like the "Default" skin selection, though of course they are bigger files.
