Uriah Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 FuriousMeow mentioned controls missing for the 109. What might be missing for the Lagg3?
FuriousMeow Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Woah, they aren't missing permanently. Manual control over the 109's engine management just isn't enabled yet. We know trim isn't enabled yet either. These things will come.
Uriah Posted December 14, 2013 Author Posted December 14, 2013 yes, indeed. Still alpha. much will change.
ll./JG77_JadeBandit Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 you can trim the 109's stabilizer but sadly the pitch on the Lagg-3 hasn't been enabled yet.
Trident_109 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Trim for the LaGG. I know the team is working hard, but as it is now the LaGG without trim is a total buzz kill when in combat. It NEEDS to be added as soon as possible. Frankly it's more important than track clips. I'm not complaining about track clip recording because I understand all the features of the game need to be integrated, but I just don't enjoy the LaGG at all..... and I usually like the challenge against better weapons. This isn't a challenge it's and exercise in frustration. It's an added disadvantage for an already diadvantaged plane - and I get my share of kills. I don't suck THAT bad. Alright I'm done whining and I'll wait patiently.
dburne Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I would very much like to see the trim added for the Lagg as well, along with ability for key combination presses to be recognized properly when programmed through stick software.
Trident_109 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Yes! I like my pinky button on my CH Fighter Stick. Key combinations would be nice.
DD_fruitbat Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Oxygen and gunsight controls? Oxygen would be great. would love to have to manage that as well!
Feathered_IV Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Oxygen would be great. would love to have to manage that as well! Me too. Imagine strughling to hold a tight turn, greying out and fumbling for the key to turn the oxygen up to emergency. All while craning the neck trying to track the enemy that is swimming into a firing position. Damn! I would really like to use Occulus Rift.
senseispcc Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 (edited) Oxygen is a game effect but the trims are not! So let ask for the trims on all planes actual and future. Edited December 15, 2013 by senseispcc
Fifi Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Do we have in this 109 version any prop pitch control lever ability?
senseispcc Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Yes, if there was any trim control from the Inside of the plane, not always the case like in the ME109-E serie.
SKG51_robtek Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 (edited) Yes, if there was any trim control from the Inside of the plane, not always the case like in the ME109-E serie. The Bf109 E had the same trim control as the C, D, F, G models, nose up/down. All other trims were fixed on the ground for cruise speed. Edited December 15, 2013 by robtek
1CGS LukeFF Posted December 15, 2013 1CGS Posted December 15, 2013 (edited) along with ability for key combination presses to be recognized properly when programmed through stick software. They already are. You just have to make sure there's enough of a delay between each keypress for the game to recognize them. I dunno what sort of controller you're using, but that's certainly the case with CH's controllers and ROF & BOS. Edited December 15, 2013 by LukeFF

I use a TM Warthog, and the shift+key combo assigned in Target works fine on all my other flight sims. This has also been reported by others with different controllers as well if I am not mistaken. This has also been reported by others with different controllers as well if I am not mistaken. Different sims are going to respond different to control inputs. I am totally unfamiliar with the TM programming software, but if you can increase the delay between keystrokes it may solve the problem. I know I had to do that with both ROF and BOS.
Anatta Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 (edited) I bought a TM Warthog just a week ago and I have this problem in BoS and in RoF, so this one carried over. After some research I found that some other games have the same problem with the target software and modifier keys. I guess the delay between pressing the modifier key and the actual key is just too short. Sadly I did not find anything on reducing this delay. Setting the pulse delay with setkbrate does nothing. Maybe someone else knows more about this. The only workaround I can give is one of these: 1) Create a chain with delays: MapKey(&Joystick, FLAPU, CHAIN(L_SHIFT, D(), 'f')); for standard delay, or D(33) for custom delay. 2) Creating DirectX output to use in BoS MapKey(&Joystick, FLAPU, DX1); can use DX1-32 Hope this helps a bit. dburne Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Well I have been meaning to delve into the scripting for Target, looks like I may need to do so to get a delay in between the key presses for some of the combination key assignments in BOS. Thanks guys,
Finkeren Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Reading through the QnA and the Development Diaries, we already have some idea, of which controls will not be modelled: No fuel supply control (though the different fuel tank systems will be realistically modelled) No radio control system besides shifting between friendly/enemy radio frequencies and turning it off. (I'm still hoping for realistic radio ranges to be modelled) No oxygen modelled (though there might be a visual representation of it like in IL-2) Simplified engine start up (set mixture and press the button, that's it) No magnetos control There are a lot of other systems, where there has been no word yet, but which I think we're unlikely to see: Adjustable gun sights (though we propably will get the recticle dimmer for the ReVi) Ability to dump fuel Historically correct bomb sights And then there are the ones, we haven't heard about, but which I think we actually might see: Dive brakes (this is more or less a given) Prop feathering Fire extinguishers Manual operation of landing gear (in case of loss of pneumatics or electricity or simply manual gear for the I-16)
Rama Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 No fuel supply control (though the different fuel tank systems will be realistically modelled) That's the one IMO missing the more, and that will miss even more for bombers.
