game wont launch at all

hi all, looking for help,

when I start the game through steam nothing happens.

steam tells me its running for about 20 seconds the goes back to ready to play

ive uninstalled and re-installed, verified the game files and still no go.

the only thing ive changed is a new monitor. its 21.9 2560x1080. Would this have any effect? I can still play CoD and '46 ok.

 

any help is appreciated thanks

Try to run the game through the .exe ( not launcher )

 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Moscow\bin\game

when I click the icon im getting-- " application unable to start correctly (0x000007b) "

 

googled and says a device driver issue. Apart from the monitor nothing else has changed. I will look into updating any drivers in hardware management

Running any 3rd party programs? Try turning those off first then try running the game.

Submitted a ticket and have been told to check for updates. Hopefully this will help

Updated Windows and all sorted. I do have updates turned off and should check them more regularly from now on.
