Dedicated servers to fly in North America to keep low pings and packet loss to a minimum?

Servers and Squadrons that will fly out of North America to keep the game play as fluid as possible?

 

The reason why I say that is I get no registered hits on my plane in the WoL server with some Squadrons

due to packet loss.

 

It would be at a minimum if the pilots flew from North America.

odd as all hits are calculated your Client side then sent to server.

 

Atleast thats what i was told on these forums

Hum so when the server flak hits me it is right on and registers sounds damage and flashes

meaning I have zero lag with the server.

 

But when a player attacks me there is lag because their line is too slow with severe

packet loss.

 

i think you are right that because the players that shoot at me without registering hits

are often thrown out of the server 2-3 times per match minimum so it works both ways with the

client vs client lagging scenario.

 

Server guidelines on ping and packet loss would probably have to be more severe.

Simulated Air Combat Group, Luftwaffe Division might be a good choice if the server is based in NA.

Our server is based in NA, but runs mainly training and some smaller combat scenarios, with max participation numbers in the 30's.  We have hosted FNBF style missions on Saturdays in NA, but participation is limited these days.  TWB had a damn nice server up and running for this, but lack of participation in comparison to all the work that is required by the mission builder and server requirements limits the NA servers at this time.  EU participation makes their servers more practicable and cost effective when you see the numbers they can average within their time zones.  We are in the process of working hopefully putting up some AI laced missions to give our members some action, even when the human pilot server numbers are down.  We find servers such as TAW and Random Expert to run really smooth for us, and hopefully the numbers will increase soon for our time zones here.
