Hoss Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Don't know about new planes............... or the Career mode................ but the new FM's is what I'm waiting to see how it changes the game play. The Kuban map will be great, see how it compares to the old IL2 map... played many an hour on servers with that map back in the beginning on Hyper Lobby............... and I do mean the very beginning..... This game has depleted my bank account on many occasions and pissed off the wife to no end... but with headphones on and engines running I can't hear her.................... Finkeren Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 It's gonna be one of the biggest ones and certainly the one where the devs will be crossing their fingers the most since the move to DX11. The FM changes will certainly spark debate, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict, that the response will be 95% positive. The devs seem to have struck a chord with the community when it comes to the direction of development. One possible piece of content might be a final fix for the issue that 780 card owners have. IIRC it was teased, that they might finally have identified the root of the problem, but it wasn't something simple enough to correct in a hotfix. (This is off the top of my head - please correct me if I'm wrong) 1

The FM and the new map alone are huge massive pieces both to the series and to the Battle of Kuban update. The next aircraft on the list is the Yak-7B and its slated for October in the original plan. I'm curious to know if it will arrive first or if the Hs129B-2 which we've seen far more of in the dev updates.

StG2_Manfred Posted August 6, 2017 Author Posted August 6, 2017 So it seems I was recollecting correctly. To be honest I'm happy we get 'only' new map, sea, boats, shadows and FMs. More than enough to concentrate on it. For the players as well as for the devs.

The developer diary for one Kuban map was originally on the schedule for release in July but the last couple of releases have been a bit later... which is entirely un-concerning. So August was about what I expected and that's what Jason and Han are saying will be it. I am curious if they will be releasing summer only or other seasons at once. We've only seen summer so far so I suspect its just that version and we'll see the spring and autumn versions sometime later.
