VBF-12_Stele Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 I had the great opportunity to fly in an old US Navy T-34 yesterday and I can't stop thinking about it. The pilot I flew with is currently in the navy flying jets, and I happened to meet him by chance. He took me up for a spin while giving me brief moments to get a feel for the plane. Mostly turns, climbs and dives. The cockpit looks just like an old warbird, but the feeling of flying a plane like that has got me thinking every second of it afterwards. Years of flight sims paid off, I feel, as I got to make small adjustments and trimming out while flying. He did a couple of aileron rolls and a barrel roll, which quickly turned my stomach. I think knowing where to look during those turns helped me not lose my stomach. I can barely imagine what it must have felt like to be in a dogfight. I'd compare it to like a first kiss, and I can't wait to do it again! 3
Apache600 Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 Nice! You happen to do that in Cali as well? If so, what airport?
