Looks like some neat stuff in this new update.

One thing of interest in support for third party apps in Oculus Home, so we should be able to add BoS to Oculus Home and launch it from within there if so desired.

FYI for new Rift owners, Oculus has a staggered rollout of the release version of it's software and can take just a few days before everyone has it.

I finally got the 1.17 upate this afternoon.

After launching BoS and exiting , I now have the Il-2 shortcut with icon in my Oculus Home Environment, and can launch it from there now with no need to raise the headset  to double click a desktop shortcut.

Nice feature supporting third party apps.

Yeah - looks like my update came through too.  I just checked after I ran my latest benchmark tests in BoS and it's now on the menu of "recents" in Oculus Home.  Not sure how much I'll use it with BoS, since I like the fact that I can just start BoS and it will fire up in VR without having Oculus Home running at all (and I can just start BoS from my desktop before putting on my OR headset, so it's really no trouble in that sequence).  However, it should be real helpful if I get any other VR games outside the Oculus store (although the way BoS looks in VR I'm not sure how much time I'll be spending playing any other VR titles any time soon).

Does BoX still uses steamvr when you launch it from Oculus Home?

Yes, it currently only has support for Steam VR.
