Are any of the Best Buy or Microsoft stores in the DFW area set up to do Rift demos?  One of the Microsoft stores in a mall near here was, and that's how I got to see it before I took the plunge (not with BoS, unfortunately, but it was enough to give me a pretty good feel for how it looked/worked in general).

Not sure, I'm mainly after seeing the resolution in bos via VR first hand. Since it would only be for il2, well 95% of the time. Ive heard its kinda meh, but if everything else is wow then I may be able to overlook that aspect.

 

Hopefully someone lives within 75miles of me that has one.

Yeah - the resolution is a bit of a worry.  There are some really "wow" factors, and just flying around in it has been a real pleasure these last couple of days.  But as I've started trying to actually find targets and blow them up, the resolution thing is starting to bother me a bit.  I'm still tweaking settings and stuff to see if I can find an optimal mix of quality and fps performance, so I'm certainly not ready to throw in the towel yet, but some of the shine has started to wear off a little.  If you can find someone to actually let you see BoS in VR that would certainly be good.

Aye, that's what I've heard from others, and I'm just a bit Leary. All these reaction videos I've seen have been with people just sight seeing on sims. I want to see what it looks like at 500ft trying to find a tank column in a il2 at 200mph.
