Hello,

I was wondering if you guys could help me find more info on a 109 F2 that went down on the Russian front during 1941. I have come across some items from a 109 wreck. I would like to find as much info as I can on the pilots and his plane but have hit a dead end. I wish to preserve these items as best I can.

Bf109 F2 6721 Ofw. Georg Mayr of 4./JG.52 Participated in combat operations over England in 1941, and the Soviet-German front in 1941, had 2 kills (Spitfires over England). August 11, 1941 Bf 109 F-2 W.Nr. 6721 "Weisse/White 5" was hit by fire from the ground from positions of Soviet troops. The plane fell in the northern part of Minyushi (south-west of the city of Novgorod, Russia) and died.

I want to find more info on the pilot, camo, pics, and plane. I have talked to a few guys in groups with extensive knowledge of the Russian front but have had little success in finding more info. Do any of you have resources on finding such info? Thanks in advance. I attached some pictures so you can see some of the existing paint.
