[sLI][GeForce GTX 980][iL2-Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad]: There is no performance improvement under DirectX 11 after enabling SLI. [1903543] "" I wouldn't read too much into that just yet. We have Nvidia SLI bits for DX11 now, and I think that optimizes it for everybody. I have 1070 cards, and I just ran some test flights offline on the winter maps with lots of other airplanes in the sky. At Ultra setting, the fps was through the roof, it was as smooth as silk even on the deck over a heavy forest, and it looked like the cards were scaling perfectly, with neither one exceeding 70 degrees. Prior to this, Ultra was giving me some problems, so we'll see....I'll have to see how it does over the next couple days in a variety of situations, but my initial impression of this is that it is everything I hoped it would be. If it all becomes a stuttery mess later tonight when I play online then I'll come back and report that I was wrong, but I don't anticipate that right now. EDIT: Spent several hours online earlier including heavy cloud, winter Moscow maps, and fps performance/smoothness was better than it has ever been in a variety of high load situations and with Ultra graphics settings that gave me some problems before.. This new SLI profile really seems to be making a big difference, and I'm almost positive it's not a placebo perception. Strangely enough, even though I have 60hz Monitors, and the reported framerate is upwards of 180 (!) in all situtations, I did not experience any screen tearing, and am not using any form of Vsync, and I'm not quite sure why that is. Just out of interest what rez monitors are you using? I'm also running 1070's in SLI with the new driver, Ultra on a 2560x1440 60hz monitor, with Vsync off my frame rate can be as low as 71fps? (tested on act 2 "Shepherd & Sheep" 10 Days of Autumn first way point) I'm itching to get a 3440x1440 monitor but i'm worried about the fps dropping below 60 if i'm only getting 71fps on my current monitor?

I'm running 3 1920x1200 monitors. I have Full Screen ticked now because it's my understanding that SLI doesn't work very well if that box isn't checked. Still puzzled by reported in-game fps reporting. I have "Target Frame Rate" set to 80, which I thought acted as a limiter, but I'm still getting reported fps somewhere in the vicinity of 190 in almost all circumstances. (Not complaining about that obviously, just curious why it isn't being capped). I guess I don't understand Vsync completely. In the past, there was screen tearing in Full Screen, but Vsync would be absolutely awful with stutteriness, and I was loathe to enable it. I would have assumed now that with fps so far in excess of my monitors' refresh rate it would be a screen-tearing nightmare, and that some sort of screen synchronization would be necessary, but like I said, it isn't like that at all. The only tiny little thing I notice is an occasional rastering effect on the prop disk as I move my head around, but it is so inconspicuous that it's hardly worth mentioning.
Bombzey Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Just bit the Bullet and got myself a X34A I've only had a few minutes on it but already with Gsync enabled and Vsync disabled, I'm getting a better framerate than my 2540x1440 ??? I'll try and make a short video later
