TP_Jacko Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Folks, In the CloD and I think the IL2 1946 days you could change the height of objects of place AA on top by chaining the height from the ground. As an example I wanted to stack 2 water towers to act as Air Racing pylons. I tried to edit the mission file by a text editor but it did not seem to change anything in game. I wondered if anyone knows of a way to force a height change.
[DBS]Tx_Tip Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Only been successful with raising effects and other MCUs along with the aerostat that's in the Ground section here Jacko. Perhaps someone has figured something out.
TP_Silk Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 It's a long time since I looked in the media MCUs such as Swallow used for his Stalingrad obstacle course mission - is there anything in there that may serve?
NETSCAPE Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 I tried this myself when I first started making missions. In my case I wanted to set some vehicles or any type of "cargo" on top of the ferry objects, it would have made some fun targets on the Volga. Putting AA on a roof would be super cool too! Or raising a mg to fire out of a high window for eye candy (grain elevator ect).
No601_Swallow Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 I tried the AA on a roof manoeuvre for this scripted thing I'm halfway through building. No dice, unfortunately. The 'z' coordinate (or is it 'y' in the ME?) doesn't seem to have any effect on objects. (I'm in IL-hiatus at the moment, though, since version 2.011 refuses to launch for me. Luckily I've been away over the summer, so now I'm waiting for 2.012 - if that also refuses to launch properly, I'll start seriously to get to the bottom of the problem!)
